Time to Move
It's finally time to move on, switch coasts and continue my running adventures in the Bay Area! I'm moving to Mill Valley next Sunday, complete with my bike and running shoes. I can't wait.

A race day limerick
So I ran a windy 5K
Got beat by a Kenyan but hey,
I still made some cash
Put up a good dash
She looked like a man anyway!

rain rain go away
Today's weather was the worst kind. Raining and slightly above freezing. One of those weather conditions where running is absurdly miserable and should only be attempted if one is on a rigorous training schedule, hasn't been outside in 3 days, or takes a shot of whiskey before heading out the door. Yesterday was unseasonably warm and pleasant for running. Drizzly and in the 50s, but by the time we ran to Landry's and back the temperature was already dipping.
We stopped at Landry's to look at trainers or rollers so we can both spend miserable rainy days inside spinning at the same time. It just so happened that Landry's was hosting a reception for the MIT cycling team before they head off to National's. The nice guy who hooked me up with my Cervelo was there and helped us look at and test out a couple of trainers. Unfortunately the rollers were under an enormous mishmash of bike parts and not worth the effort of unearthing.

Post Thanksgiving
I'm not sure if all the turkey, stuffing and sweet potatoes have worn off yet.... we ate so much this weekend and it was all amazing and delicious.
Went on a bread run this morning to Clear Flour. On the way there we passed a house with an adorable flock of chickens in the backyard. There were a couple roosters, a few hens and a clutch of cute fluffy little chicks going CHEEP CHEEP FEED ME CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP. On the way back we had bread with us, but the chickens had been replaced by a fat man with two pitbulls. Decidedly less adorable.

Doubling up
Yesterday: 30 minute spin session in the morning followed by mile repeats on the track in the evening. Then of course I ate a hell of a lot at Central Kitchen. It was Scott's last night in town, what other reason does one need to get stuffed with food and wine. Sean and I don't go out to dinner... ever... we prefer to cook and eat everything in the house in the space of 2 hours. This weekend will be pretty epic too... catered Thanksgiving dinner, and great restaurants in New York.

Easy run with Monument
Cold and windy this morning with a definite chance of WINTER!! It's officially tights, headband and gloves weather. A bit sore from biking last night plus getting acclimated to cold and wind.... Ran to Charlestown and the Bunker Hill monument, actually went inside the tower and up the stairs for a tourist-free dose of history and great views of Boston.
5.6 miles
Also, the new auto-route feature on gmap-pedometer is quite annoying!
